Family of Barack Obama:
The family consists of Afro-Americans, Anglo-Americans, Indonesians and Kenyans (Luo), and received popularity thanks to Barack Obama, 44th US President. Presently, they are the First Family of the United States of America. The Obamas are the first Afro-American family of the US president and youngest family since Kennedy. One journalist has written that with the “Young and energetic family of Obama, returns the days of Camelot”.
Michelle Obama (nee Robinson, born on January 17, 1964, Chicago) - spouse of Barack Obama. According to profession, she is a lawyer and studied at Chicago University. Presently, she is the “First Lady of the USA”.
Malia Obama, (born on July 4, 1998) and Sasha (Natasha) Obama, (born on June 10, 2001) are daughters of Barack Obama. Sasha is the youngest child in the White House since John Kennedy Jr., who was an infant when his father became the President of the USA in 1961. Also, Sasha is the first White House inhabitant born in the 21st century.
Prior to his inauguration, Barack Obama published an open letter to his daughters in Parade magazine, in which he wished for them and to all children of America: "to grow up in a world with no limits on your dreams and no achievements beyond your reach, and to grow into compassionate, committed women who will help build that world"
Living in Chicago, they had busy schedules as informs the Associated Press: “Football, dance and the theatrical circle for Malia; gymnastics and tap dance for Sasha, piano and tennis for both”. In July 2008 the family had given an interview to Access Hollywood; later Obama regretted this and stated that he should not have allowed the children to be interviewed.
On the night of his victory speech, Obama promised to buy a dog for his daughters once they shifted to the White house. However, selection of a dog was delayed due to Malia’s allergy to dog hair. Subsequently, President Obama has decided to choose between a Labrador and a Portuguese Water Dog and intend to take a shelter dog.
Malia and Sasha are attending the private Sidwell Friends School in Washington, the same school in which the children of Clinton, Nixon and Theodor Roosevelt studied and also where the grandsons of Vice-president Joe Biden are undergoing their education. Malia and Sasha started their academic year on January 5, 2009. In Chicago both of them studied in the private University of Chicago Laboratory School.
Marian Shields Robinson, (nee Marian Shields; born in July, 1937) is mother-in-law of Barack Obama and mother of Michelle Obama. Marian was the widow of Fraser Robinson III, whom she married in 1960. He died in 1991.

Mother - Stanley Ann Danhum (November ,29, 1942 – November 7, 1995).
