Very creative composition and decent execution. Try adding some shadows from the snake in the part where it enters the kettle.

Last time I would want tea at that house.... That white out effect and the image your using for the resting surface (table.) doesn't look too good. I would probably find another source image like a wooden table to use. Kettle and snake look good.

Definitely better with the edit shadow. I agree with Rain about the white out effect on the edges.

I am agreeing with the above comments too. I would maybe add some slight shadow from the snake on the kettle too.
