| In Paris on February, 4 the Elysee Palace has confirmed the wedding of the President of France Nicolas Sarkozy and Carla Bruni. The ceremony took place in especially intimate set-up, informs CNN.
“Madam Carla Bruni and Mr. Nicolas Sarkozy inform, that they got married today (on Saturday morning) in the presence of their families and in especially intimate circumstances”, - informs the message from the press service of the President’s secretary, propagated on February, 2.
As informs NTV, the first photographs of the couple are already available, which were taken after the couple’s marriage with the media.
The time and place of the ceremony were kept secret till the last moment. The President of France got a special sanction from the public prosecutor not to publish obligatory announcements under the French marriage laws.
The ceremony took place for just half an hour and was in the presence of family members and close friends. Immediately after the marriage, the newly-wed husband was engaged in dealing with the problems of International politics at an emergency meeting on the critical situation in the African republic Chad, writes the BBC.
Let's recall, on January 15, the newspaper L'Est Republicain wrote that Sarkozy and Carla Bruni got secretly married on Thursday January, 10. The news was not confirmed in Elysee palace. Nevertheless, journalists were sure that Sarkozy got married, as he promised to make the marriage a secret affair from the press. After, Bruni said in an interview to the French newspaper Liberation that she and Sarkozy only planned to get married.
It was earlier said that the bride of Nicolas Sarkozy is pregnant. The pregnancy of the beloved of the French president was confirmed by doctors in Paris, wrote The Daily Mail.
Recently Nicolas Sarkozy became a bachelor after divorcing his wife Cecilia. Sarkozy spent Christmas along with Bruni at an Egyptian resort, where he also invited his mother. During a press conference, when asked about the marriage with the former top model, Nicolas Sarkozy twice called their relationship “serious” but noted that, probably, the press would be the last ones to learn about the marriage.
