British newspapers were dominated by coverage of the re-election of President Bush in the United States. The liberal Daily Mirror ran a front page headline that read "How can 59,054,087 people be so dumb?" Other newspapers in the U.K. carried similar types of negative headlines in response to the re-election of George W. Bush in the United States.
