Google celebrated its 9th birthday this week.
It's interesting to look back and recall that 9 years ago everybody's favorite search engines were Yahoo and Alta Vista. Since then Alta Vista went bankrupt and was bought by Yahoo, whose stock price is only 1/4th of what it used to be, while Google stock is slowly reaching $600 price.

With this entry I want to pay homage to Dwight D. Eisenhower, the man who as a General of the Army defeated the European fascists, and as a Republican President of USA defeated the American racists. To symbolize the steadfast determination of IKE, (for me K1), I've merged him with the Chogori, aka K2, the second-highest mountain on Earth as well as the most difficult and dangerous to climb. Below I have placed the very beautiful central section of the Little Rock Central High School, whose staggered volumes conjugate well with the gradation of the top mountain. I've placed the Little Rock Nine as going out of the main entrance of the School, such as they are depicted in the bronze sculpture in front of the Arkansas Capitol, and they go towards the right of the spectator to take possession of two conspicuous keys. The horizontal flat key belongs to the Carter County Jail, and wants to symbolize the exit from the Inferno where they were living. The vertical old key belonged to a room of the most exclusive resort for whites on Lake Champlain, NY, in reference to the Heavens to which blacks gradually began to enter since then. The stalking tiger which is really painted behind the pentamerous arcade adds a point of inexorability to the above mentioned meanings. I hope these commentaries have given you a view as clear as water about the purposes of this chop.
