News in Pictures September 24 30
Contest Directions: Create images of something that happened in the news during September 24 - 30, 2007.
Here's an example of a news story that can be used:
Google celebrated its 9th birthday this week. It's interesting to look back and recall that 9 years ago everybody's favorite search engines were Yahoo and Alta Vista. Since then Alta Vista went bankrupt and was bought by Yahoo, whose stock price is only 1/4th of what it used to be, while Google stock is slowly reaching $600 price.

  • Eisenhower Tribute on a Mountain

    Eisenhower Tribute on a Mountain
        • Beautifully rendered. My only critique is that it takes a lot of explanation before you "get it". This would make a good editorial illustration to go with a magazine article on the subject.
        • I agree with LunaC, a bit too much explanation to "get it." Plus, I'd like to comment: Ike got rid of the racism is America? Really?? And, Clinton is a rapist? Please. His wife is tolerant, yes, which would support you idea of anti-racism. You're all over the place, not sure what point this 'epic' chop is supposed to make.

A bit more attention to 'carving' Ike into the mountain would have bumped this up several points.
        • There's a Mt Eisenhower in the Canadian Rockies.
