Researchers believe wine drinking leads to a longer life according to this news article. I read that article and I have a few problems with it. First of all, it seems these really smart lab guys did their research on worms and very fat mice. I for one believe worms and fat mice live long enough as it is. The only time I want to see a worm live longer is when he's on my fishing hook. And as for fat mice, well, I don't want to fatten up any of them around my house. I think these researchers could use their time and money more wisely by trying to find a way to improve the taste of spinach or lessen the effects of drinking too much wine. There is a silver lining to all of this research though. Now big fat winos will have the luxury of living longer. Mel Gibson will definitely live forever.
