G8 summit was held in Italy with moderate success. Italian President Silvio Berlusconi suggested to form G14 comprising India, the US, China, Russia, Japan, France, Germany, Brazil, South Africa, Mexico, Canada, the UK, Italy and one more country, possibly Egypt. "The G8 is over, now we need a G14", said Berlusconi.
Chinese President Hu Jintao had to leave G8 meeting as the China riots continued with new wave.
GM is exiting bankruptcy, after the company sold some of its big assets.
