While the final preparations are made for the opening ceremony of Olympic Games opening on August 1, heavy smog is settling upon Beijing - China's worst smog in the years. Chinese government tried to control the air pollution in Beijing by banning smoking, and limiting even-license-number cars to be used only on even calendar dates , and odd-license-number cars to be used only on odd calendar dates. However with 3.3 million vehicles in Beijing it did not help, so these Olympics will be the most polluted Olympic Games yet.
