The US Economy shed 85,000 jobs in December, totaling 7.2 million jobs lost since the recession began in December 2007.
While there's a debate in the US about whether full body scanners need to be installed in the US airports, such scanners are to be introduced in several French airports on experimental basis. Eventually all French airports will have such body scanner machines installed. The necessity of body scanners was suggested following the failed effort, allegedly by a Nigerian man, to blow up a Detroit-bound plane on Christmas.
