Advanced Photoshop Pictures Contest - 9 image entries
News in Pictures Dec 11 Dec 17 2006
Contest Directions:  Create images of something that happened in the news from 12/11/06 - 12/17/06.
An example of a recent news story that could be used can be found here. It seems Mr. Perfect, Donald Trump, is quite the party pooper. This is the same guy that has always been a big pro wrestling fan. In fact, Trump has had a long-running relationship with the WWE and Vince McMahon. Trump Plaza served as the site of WrestleMania IV in 1988 and WrestleMania V in 1989. He had front row seats at both events, as well as at WrestleMania VII in 1991 from the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena and WrestleMania XX in 2004 from Madison Square Garden. In an interview given weeks before WrestleMania IV, Hulk Hogan referred directly to Trump when he exclaimed, "Thank God Donald Trump's a Hulkamaniac!". Well he may be a big Hulk Hogan fan but apparently he's not a big booze and sex fan.

Florida suspends executions pictures
Florida suspends executions
MIAMI Jeb Bush, the Governor of Florida, has called a temporary halt to all executions while a panel reviews how lethal injections are administered, after the lingering death of a prisoner on Wednesday.

Ángel Nieves Díaz, 55, took 34 minutes to die and had to be administered two lethal doses when the needle missed his vein, piercing tissue instead.

The executive order does not mandate the reviewing panel to propose other methods of capital punishment. It asks it only to examine whether lethal injections are administered properly.

Nieves’s botched execution has rekindled the debate on whether the injections constitute cruel and unusual punishment

Fake 'Belgian split' TV sparks row
RTBF claimed Belgium was going to split. I imagine for a moment some one must have been thinking who was going to rule those tiny countries.

If I tell you this is not Hercule Poirot can you guess what famous Belgian it is?
