| The NASA spacecraft that has smashed into a desert in Utah last month may have had a serious design flaw. The spacecraft was bringing home fragile samples of the sun. Engineering drawings actually may have been done incorrectly ... backwards, in fact. An investigating board has made this finding. Due to the backwards drawings, the various switches that were to detect the entry of the Genesis spacecraft into Earth's atmosphere and initiate the parachutes did not properly function. |
