| In 1908 young American woman Ann Jarvis suggested to set a
day to honor all mothers. Her initiative proved successful and two
years later Mother's Day was made into official holiday which
soon came to Europe and later became celebrated internationally in
many countries.
In USA, Mother's Day is on the second Sunday of May, when American
families congratulate their mothers, give them flowers and gifts and
show them love and appreciation of many things mothers do to raise
kids from childhood into older years.
It's important to understand and reiterate that Mother's Day is, first
of all, a family holiday. It's the children, who should realize what
what their mother means for them and what appreciation and respect she
deserves. We owe to dear mothers our birth, our life and our success.
There's nothing more wonderful and self-giving that mother's love.
Just like the sun sends its rays warming up everything on earth,
mother's love always warms up her child.
Our dear women - mothers keep our families happy, but they also work
for the wealth of our nation and society in different fields of
economy, culture, arts, and sports. |
Today is one of the most celebrated holidays in the USA. Mother's Day is one day we have set aside to honor our mother. Let's face it, we would really be nowhere without her.
