While treating materials (metal, wood, ceramics, glass, textiles and others.) in decorative- applied art, used are casting, forging, embossing, engraving, carving, painting, inlay, needlework, tap and etc. Works of decorative - applied art compiled of part of material surroundings of man and aesthetically enrich them. They are usually closely related to architectural-spatial surroundings, ensemble (on street, in park, interiors) and thereby constitute artistic combinations among them. After appearing in High Antiquity, decorative- applied art became one of the most important folklore, its history is connected with artistic handicraft, artistic trade, professional artists, folk craftsman and beginning from 20th century artistic designing (Bauhaus).
