This contest is fueled by the following news: Dogs started to howl and the woods began to crackle during what had been a peaceful night in Teslin. Melvin Harper contends that he heard the commotion and he saw a fleeting monster figure flitting about near a neighbor's light post. He said that he saw something bus, about eight feet tall. He said what he saw was muscular, hairy and huge. Tom Dickson, who also saw the creature in this Yukon town of 400, said that the creature looked like sasquatch, like the creature you see on television, He said the monster was moving pretty fast and left him with a shocked feeling, as if seeing a bear up close.
