This contest is fueled by the following news: British scientists have announced that a newly discovered species of flying reptile that died out with the dinosaurs will be named for its fang-like teeth. Paleobiologists at the University of Portsmouth in the U.K. have named the remains of the pterosaur found on a beach on the Isle of Wight Caulkicephalus trimicrodon. Caulkhead actually is the informal name for natives of the Isle of Wight and trimicrodon does mean three small teeth.
