| You may have heard about Hogzilla monster pig killed by hunters in
Georgia in 2004. Until May 3 Hogzilla was considered the larges wild
pig ever caught and recorded. While it's size was a bit exaggerated by
the locals who have seen it, National Geographic experts dug up the
remains of the monster and took the measurements which rounded up to 8
feet long and weight of some 800 pounds. So what happened on May 3,
2007, that have shaken up the throne of Hogzilla as the largest
recorded wild pig? The answer is - an 11 year old boy Jamison Stone from Montgomery, Alabama,
killed even a bigger monster hog while hunting with his father and two
guides. It took them three hour chase and some eleven shots to an
animal before it could be caught and killed. The last shot was from the
point blank range when Jamison fired into the head of the monster. It
took the hunters hours to move the hog through the forest, where they
had to cut several trees on the way to deliver the dead monster to the
pickup truck. Boy's father says they will mount the monster's head and
put in on the wall in their house next to the fireplace, and the rest of the animal will go
to sausages. Jamison says that he used to be afraid of monsters when he was little. Now that he's grown up and
killed one, he said it was not as scary experience as one would
imagine. "This was more like hunting game than a horror story," says
Stone, - "but we did have the rifles ready to fire in case the monster would
turn around and charge us." His father, however, says the boy is being modest.
He killed his first deer at the age of 5, and was hardly scared of monsters stories as a kid. |
