Mona Lisa was a new mother picturesAdvanced Photoshop Pictures Contest - 37 image entries
Contest Directions: This year is all about having kids, and being a great mom. [ French art experts said that there's proof that Mona Lisa - the Italian diva painted by Leonardo Da Vinci - had just given birth to her second baby at the time when she sat for the painting. The report also added that Mona Lisa had given birth to three more children in the years after the painting. ] This is such great news and an example for all moms out there. After you've given birth to your baby, all you need to do is to sit and pose for a painting - the longer the better. And if you need a reason for a billion dollar smile, just think of your poor husband trying to breastfeed the starving baby and changing diapers full of doo-doo. Husbands can never get it right, especially with breastfeeding. No wonder the babies are always hungry. So, overall Mona Lisa was a great mom, sort of like Britney Spears who won a “Mother of the Year” award even before she had kids.
In this contest you are asked to photoshop Mona Lisa doing the things mothers do - breastfeeding, playing with kids, house cleaning, etc. Mona Lisa can be photoshopped in the original painting, other paintings, in photos, advertisements, or magazines / newspaper covers.

| This contest is fueled by the following news: |
| | The truly mysterious woman that was painted and immortalized by Leonardo da Vinci in the Mona Lisa, a 16th century masterpiece, apparently had recently given birth to her second son when she said for da Vinci's famous painting. A French art expert announced this finding on Tuesday. The discovery actually came about as a result of the work of a team of Canadian scientists. These experts utilized a special infrared as well as three dimensional technology to "look" through layers of painting. In doing so, it became obvious that Mona Lisa and her dress were covered by a thin, transparent gauze veil. This type of gauze garment was worn in the early 16th century by women who either were pregnant or who had just given birth. This gauze garment was never discovered before because of the dark coloration of the Mona Lisa painting. The French expert indicated that because it appears da Vinci painted the Mona Lisa to commemorate the birth of the woman's second son, it appears that the painting was done in 1503. The woman portrayed in the Mona Lisa has long been identified as Lisa Gheradini, the wife of Francesco de Giocondo, who was a Florentine merchant. She had five children all together. |
