Mona Lisa Listening to iPod Pics

For years I thought Mona was a woman in her late 30's or 40's and one day I happened to read that Mona was only 16 when she was carted off to get married to a much older man. Mona was 24 when Da Vinci painted her portrait.

The question arose for me, did Leonardo not paint a true depiction of Mona that at the age of 24 she lost all her youthfulness and the answer had to be no, Leonardo was too good of a painter and the only other conclusion that I deduced was that poor old Mona had 8 years of marriage hell.
