| | It seems that professional celebrity Paris Hilton may have a problem getting her friends on the mobile phone. Hundreds of Hilton's contacts, including people like Eminem and Avril Lavigne, have been exposed to prank telephone calls after hackers posted the contents of Hilton's T-Mobile Sidekick on the Internet. Hilton's famous friends moved quickly to change their unlisted numbers to new ones. Some of the famous folk whose numbers she had saved were not quick enough. When they were reached by pranksters, the phone conversations were uploaded at different sites on the Net.
Basic models of cell phones:
* Classic (candy bar phone) — (Nokia 3310, Siemens S65, Motorola m3788);
* Flip model — with folding cover, closing the keypad. Usually, microphone is positioned on the cover, which allows the phone to have convenient distance between microphone and speaker, even in small sized phones. Few years back, flip model phones were very popular. Presently, flip models are almost not preferred due to appearing of “folding” model phones and dropping of prices of these phones (Ericsson T10, Sony Z5, Motorola m3688);
* “Folding” (“book”, “frog”, “Dwarf toad”) — two-piece collapsible body reminding of notebook or powder box. Usually, display and speaker are positioned on the top cover keypad and microphone are positioned in the lower piece. Besides the internal (main) display, this model phone often has external display also, which is accessible in folded condition. (Motorola V600, SonyEricsson Z200). Usually, folding phones open at an angle of less than 180 degrees but exist folding phone models, where the phones can be opened upto 180 degrees;
* Slider — consists of two parts, moving with respect to each other (Samsung SGH-D500, Nokia 8910, LG G7050);
* Pseudo-folding — similar to “folding”, but the screen is located in its bottom part and only speaker on folding piece. Unlike flip, top cover of this model closes the display too. Often, an aperture is left in upper cover or make the portion of upper cover ( or some time entire upper cover) transparent so that the display is visible even in folded condition (Fly S1190, Motorola A760);
* Rotator (with rotary mechanism) (Siemens SK65, Motorola V70, Motorola V80);
* Dual-hinge — body, which can be both horizontal and vertical “folding”. It is used in communicators: access to phone functions is possible upon opening the body vertically and horizontal — to large screen and full-fledged keypad (Motorola MPx);
* Lipstick — body, reminding the shape of lipstick tube, pencil box or a pen. It possesses unconventional controls. It is used in corporate models (Nokia 7280, Nokia 7380);
* Stationary — it is similar to usual wire telephone. It is used as a replacement for usual phone there, where carrying of phone is not possible or unpractical. Interestingly, such devices are not mobile phones though they are cellular phones;
* Automobile — it is similar to stationary but is only intended for installation in the car and is usually optimized for convenient use in the car. Power supply is given from automobile battery (Nokia 810).
