This contest is fueled by the following news:
Arnold's movie career: Arnold Alois Schwarzenegger (born July 30, 1947, in the village Thal near Graz, Styria, Austria) is an American bodybuilder, businessman, actor of Austrian origin, politician-republican and the 38th Governor of California (was elected in 2003 and re-elected for a second term in 2006). He acted as the main lead in films "Conan the Barbarian" (1982), "The Terminator" (1984), "Commando" (1985), "Predator" (1987), "The Running man" (1987), "Total Recall" (1990), "Terminator 2: Judgment Day" (1991), "True Lies" (1994), "Eraser" (1996), "End of Days" (1999),"Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines" (2003) etc. Arnold Schwarzenegger has won several awards in bodybuilding including being the seven time title holder of “Mr. Olympia”. He also earned awards in cinema too. He has assets worth 200 million dollars and he is the organizer of the competition "Arnold Classic". Austria: Arnold Schwarzenegger was born on July 30, 1947 in the village of Thal near Graz, the capital of Styria. His parents were Gustav Schwarzenegger (1907-1972) and Aurelia Schwarzenegger, born Jadrny (1922-1998). They were married on October 20, 1945, when Gustav was 38 years and Aurelia was 23 yrs. His older brother, Meinhard was born on July 17, 1946. The family was Catholic and attended church on Sundays. Arnold was baptized as Arnold Alois Schwarzenegger. Move to Munich: After his army service, Arnold relocated to Munich in 1966, where he worked in a fitness club. During this period, he led a hard life often sleeping on gym floors till he could rent an apartment. As Arnold recalls in his autobiography, during this period, he was extremely aggressive, practically getting into scuffles almost everyday and paying fines for traffic violations; he wrote: "I was like a bull, which had put on weight". After some time, he started coaching the gym; however, he remained deeply in debt. In 1966, Arnold came second at the "Mr. Universe" competition in London losing to the American Chet Yorton. Such a result was unexpected by him as Arnold originally thought he would get sixth or seventh place. In 1967, Arnold won the title of “Mr. Universe”. Relocation to US: In September 1968, Arnold, at the age of 21, relocated to America. According to his own admission, he was bad at English and spoke with a heavy accent, which created difficulties. According to Arnold, the relocation to the United States had been his dream since the age of 10. In the late 1960's and early 1970's, he was in the country illegally, violating the visa rules. He started work-outs at Gold's Gym in Santa Monica, California, under the patronage of Joe Weider. In 1970, at the age of 23, Arnold won his first “Mr. Olympia” title in New York. In 1983, Arnold was given American citizenship but he still retains the citizenship of Austria. In an effort to move away from the image of concrete killers, who have only five or six sentences in the entire film, Arnold began to take up comedy films. For some of them, including the very first, "Twins" (1988), he did not demand a fee at all, just a percentage in sales. The comedy film “Last Action Hero" was a parody of Arnold himself and on his image in the "Terminator". Critics and viewers weren't that impressed with the last movies of Schwarzenegger such as "End of Days”, "The 6th Day" and "Collateral Damage". In 2003, the long-awaited sequel "Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines", was released, after which the 56-yr-old Arnold left the film industry. In the same year, he won the election for Governor of California, which makes him unable to participate in any filming (by not taking the film "Around the World in 80 Days" and Sylvester Stallone’s film “The Expendables”, which was released in 2010 into account). For example, the digital image of Arnold Schwarzenegger was used in "Terminator: Salvation", which was released in theaters in 2009. He appears at the age in which he appeared in the first "Terminator". According to rumors, his plans of making a comeback into the film industry remains impossible, at least till 2011, when his Governor’s tenure ends. The first film, in which he must appear, would be "The Expendables 2". Business Career: By the age of 30, Arnold Schwarzenegger became a millionaire. His wealth multiplied thanks to successful investments. He opened a mail order business, founded a construction company “Pumping Bricks” and engaged in real estate. The core of his financial empire is the company “Oak Productions”, through which the contributions from studios, percentages from sale of comic books and video games pass. As of 2007, Arnold Schwarzenegger's assets were estimated at 200 million dollars.
