| Michael Jordan (born on the 17th of February, 1963, in Brooklyn, New York) is a
great American basketball player and a player in the NBA.
He represented the teams "University of North Carolina” (1982—1984),
“Chicago Bulls” (1984—1998) and the "Washington Wizards” (2001—2003).
Michael Jordan was voted 5 times as the most valuable player of the National
Basketball Association (1988, 1991, 1992, 1996, 1998), six times was
recognized as the Finals most valuable player of the National Basketball
Association (1991-93, 1996-98), six times champion of the NBA (1991-93,
1996-98), two time Olympic champion (1984, 1992), selected 14 times
for matches of the All Stars of National Basketball Association (1985—1993,
1996—1998, 2002—2003), recognized 3 times as an All Star most valuable
player of the National Basketball Association (1988, 1996, 1998), 3 times
selected for the NBA Slam Dunk Contest and two time winner of the NBA Slam
Dunk Contest (1987, 1988). Michael Jordan played in the Shooting Guard
position or as a small forward. Michael Jordan is considered as the most
popular basketball player and one of the most popular sportsmen in the world. Also,
Jordan is considered as the “Air King” and the greatest player in the
entire history of basketball. Also, in 1993, Jordan played
baseball for a very short period.
