I think what the author is trying to state is that MJ's Neverland Ranch will become the "Mecca" for all his fans ie: they (fans) will flock to Neverland as those who flock to Mecca

Me confused about the "Liver" too. And I wouldn't use Mecca in the chop either, as such use is offensive to Muslims.
