Despite the numerous Academy Awards nominations for "the best director", Scorsese received his first "director" Oscar only in 2006, for "The Departed". The audience of the 2006 Oscars honored him with one of the longest standing ovations in the history of Acaremy Awards.
To mark the 65th birthday of the great film director, photoshop any of the Martin Scorsese movies any way you wish. Some examples are: designing a sequel or a prequel movie, changing the cast, merging his movies with any other movies. See what creative titles you can come up with.

This contest is fueled by the following news:
Martin Scorsese, born on November 17, 1942, Flashing, New York, USA is
a popular American film director, writer and producer. Scorsese is
awarded Palme d'Or ("Golden Palm"), highest prize given to a competing
film at the Cannes Film Festival (1976) and "Oscar" from American
Academy of Cinematography (2007).
Biography:
Martin Scorsese was born and brought up in New York. Martin worked as
a cook in US marines'. After coming out of military service, he
attended New York University.
During the period 1963-1964, Martin made two short films.
He won the "Best Director" Oscar award on February 26, 2007 for the
film "The Departed".
Name of Martin Scorsese was associated with the so called new American
wave "movie brats". In the end of 1960s, directors of this trend
(Francis Ford Coppola, George Lucas, Brian De Palma and Steven
Spielberg) have put series of objectives in front of them, which
according to their opinion, should not simply entertain the audience
in theatres but also explore new possibilities of cinematography in
comparison with golden years of Hollywood. First of all, it was very
important to overcome the gap, disconnection between the film and
audience and introduction of American cinema in context of pursuit of
new art paradigms, peculiar to French (Jean-Luc Godard, Claude
Chabrol, Francois Roland Truffaut) and Italian (Federico Fellini,
Michelangelo Antonioni, , Luchino Visconti) directors. In contrast to
colleagues, who recollect about thirty year ideals just with a smile,
Martin Scorsese till date works on the interface of modern trends and
author's cinema.
Film "Taxi Driver" - Drama about a veteran of Vietnam War, who's
unable adjust to "normal" life. The film, not only brought fame to 34
yr old Martin Scorsese but made him a cult figure amongst the American
youth in 1970s. On the pattern of main hero (played by Robert De
Niro), youth considered it a style to carry "Magnum" 44 caliber" in
their pockets, even to harmless dances with girlfriends. General trend
of "Taxi Driver" very nearly cost the life of American President.
Somebody by name of John Hinckley attempted to assassinate President
Ronald Reagon just to impress Jodie Foster.
FBI investigated Martin Scorsese. He was incriminated for the
propaganda of violence...
