| Marc Anthony (real name Marco Antonio Muñiz Ruiz) is a singer and composer, born on September 16, 1968 in New York. He is popular both in Latin America as well as beyond its borders and he is married to singer Jennifer Lopez.

Personal life:
Marc Anthony was born in New York. His mother Guillermina was a housewife and father, Felipe Muniz a musician and worker in a hospital’s lunchroom. His parents were Puerto Ricans and named their son in the honor of Marco Antonio Muniz, the Mexican singer popular in Puerto Rico. He has one sister named Yolando Muniz.
Anthony has a daughter – Arianna, born in 1994 from his ex-girlfriend Debbie Rosado, who was a police officer in New York.
Marc Anthony married former Miss Universe Dayanara Torres on May 9, 2000 in Las Vegas. They have two sons: Cristian Anthony Muniz (February 5, 2001) and Ryan Anthony Muniz (August 16, 2003). The marriage was a shaky one and they decided to part ways in the summer of 2002. But, soon they came together and renewed their marriage vows during a beautiful and impressive ceremony in Puerto Rico, in December 2002. But, in October 2003, the pair finally decided to move away from each other. Torres started the divorce process by filing for divorce in 2004.
In 2003, a waitress from Miami filed paternity charges against Anthony in the court. But DNA tests conducted in August 2004 disprove the claims posed by the Miami waitress.
While his divorce case was pending, Marc Anthony started dating actress and singer Jennifer Lopez, with his old girlfriend, with whom he worked together for a very long time. They dated each other for a brief period in the late 1990’s before he married his first wife and she entered into her second marriage. Lopez and Anthony recorded their duet song in the beginning of 2004 for Lopez’s up-coming film “Shall We Dance?” The pair had a silent family wedding on June 5, 2004 less than a week after his divorce with Torres was finalized.
Guests of Marc and Jennifer have been invited to an “afternoon party” to the house of Lopez and have not been informed that actually they were invited to her wedding. The pair decided not to publicize the marriage too early by affording some privacy for themselves. For some time during the marriage, Marc Anthony refused to make comments on their marriage during various interviews, which have been scheduled for the promotion of his new album “Amar Sin Mentiras” (“To Love Without Lies”), which would later on earn him Grammy award. In February 2005, Lopez confirmed the marriage and added that “Everyone knows! It's not a secret”. A few months later, the daughter of Anthony, Arianna, appears in the beginning and at the end of a new clip by stepmother Jennifer in the role of her younger sister. Marc Anthony keeps the matters, concerning marriage and family private from the media, which has made Lopez keep some distance from journalists.
On November 8, 2007, Marc and Jennifer confirmed that they are expecting their first child during a concert in Miami. On February 22, 2008, twins were born to the couple in a hospital in Long Island. The baby girl was born at 12:12 AM and then the baby boy at 12:23 AM.
Career of the singer and actor:
Anthony started his career as a vocalist in Freestyle music (rap) and Underground New York House music acts.
After 1992, Marc Anthony changed his style from freestyle music to Salsa and other Spanish music.
In June, 2004, he released the album “Amar Sin Mentiras”. In July 2004, he converted songs on this album into the Salsa style and released the album “Valio La Pena” and it also included the traditional “Lamento Boricano”, which was composed by Rafael Hernandez. Notable songs on the album were “Amar Sin Mentiras”, “Ahora Quien”, and “Escapémonos” and with Jennifer Lopez, “Valió La Pena”, “Se Esfuma Tu Amor” and “Tu Amor Me Hace Bien”. At the Latin Grammy Awards 2005 ceremony, his song “Amar Sin Mentiras” won the best “Latin Pop Album of The Year” nomination and his album “Valió La Pena” won the “Best Tropical Album of The Year” award.
On July 11, 2006, Marc Anthony released his album “Sigo Siendo Yo”, which contained all his best Spanish hits.
Marc Anthony played Hector Lavoe's role in the film “Singer” along with his wife Jennifer Lopez, who, in turn, played the role of Lavoe’s wife.
