| Apparently, when it came to makeup and cosmetics, the ancient Romans really did know a thing or tow. Scientists have uncovered a small tin canister that dates back to the middle of the second century AD. The tin was found in an excavated Roman temple precinct in London, England. The tin contains what has been described as a sophisticated white cream that actually rivals the top cosmetic products on the market today. The tin is thought to be the only one of its kind found in such good condition. |
