The history of Madonna's first single:
Rosenblatt , Kamins and Madonna outlined contract clauses on the standard yellow form. Under treaty provisions Madonna received 5000 dollars advance, and will get for each written song the fee and the payment for the publication at a rate of 1000 dollars. President “ Warner Sire” Seymour Stein and Rosenblatt have been assured in potential possibilities of Madonna, but not so much to go va-bank and to let out at once an album. Rosenblatt developed the plan of Madonna’s promotion at the expense of dancing singles release.
The song “Ain’t No Big Deal” from the demo cassette had to be the first single, because it was liked to Stein most of all. Mark Kamins became the producer for work on the first Madonna’s plate.
Advertised by the clip, the composition “Everybody” flied up on 3rd place in tables of dancing hits, and then moved on 107th place in the main chart of magazine “Billboard”.
