| Desire or longing is the middle level of will, between simple organic desire, on one hand and well-considered decisions or choices on the other hand.
In the informative sphere, longing corresponds to longing – sensation and choice - abstract thought. Desire itself is a passive state of mind (connecting the area of will with the area of sincere emotions or excitements); but the mental subject (normal) can belong to these conditions actively, strengthening or weakening their intensity.
Longing – the inclination presented to the human being by his mind. The inclination can arise both in the body and in the soul as a regular desire but permitted (blessed) by the mind, it acquires the status of longing. Desire is expressed in two other processes - aspiration (“motivation to”) and avoiding (“motivation from”). Desire – the sphere of reasoning and motivation.
Desires - the energy of life, carriers of vitality in the human being. When desires disappear the human being starts to lead an automatic life and becomes similar to a robot.
Desires are triggered by longing keys and suppressed by blocks of desires.
Longings are necessary! It is not possible and not required to suppress longings! It is necessary to learn how to control the longings and want that which is required now.
Desires and needs:
Desires have different statuses. A low-status desire, which does not have a distinct substantiation and recognition of others, is called “Caprice” and it can be ignored. A high-status desire, which is socially approved or especially encouraged, is called a need. Ignoring the needs is fraught with sanctions and spiritual or worldly problems.
Types of longing:
Desires are:
1. Emotional, and all are reflected in the soul;
2. Personality (psychological, behavioral) - all habits, I am past;
3. Conscious (intellectual) – the intrinsic, which is conceived by the guidance of reasoning.
