Sort of captivating, this is. I like it a bunch. Gonna give you a pointer whether ya like it or not Back in the day, when I was in advertising, one of the tools we used were things called "Mood Lines" These were based on psychological examination and the emotional response produced by viewing various forms that lines can take such as: wavy, horizontal, vertical, straight, jagged, soft, hard, thin, thick.. you get the picture. It was found that a horizontal line = stability, wavy line = unstable, line falling from left to right = depression, somber or failing, line rising from left to right = hopeful, happy or succeeding, and so on. In this chop, the horizon line is falling right giving the picture a depressed feel. Now, as a really cool expiriment that you can exercise to prove this stuff works is take your chop back into PS and tilt the horizon up to the right, lower on the left and compare. I think you will get a kick out of the differenc it makes. This stuff is useful when thinking through how we structure our chops (composition) to maximize the message and overall emotional triggers. If you want the chop to communicate happiness, structure the chop to move from bottom left to upper right. If you want the opposite... Top left to bottom right If you want stable and strong make it a straight line right across the back... If you want confused and chaotic... use a jagged compoisition... cool huh.

...Thanks H.S. for the information and I welcome any pointers that can teach me something in the end. I performed the horizontal line trick mentioned and it actually made a difference. The idea in this CHOP was to make it look and feel like a picture was being taken of the three, with the tree as a backdrop. The LION strong and most feared, the GIRL frail and innocent, and the RABBIT as what every little girl wants and loves and what the lion would eat in a second, but doesn't. If that makes sence

YW, here to help. Oh you got the idea across DDB ,,, in abundance. No explanation necessary. I dropped in that tip because the chop composition triggered the mood line idea as a perfect example. I have intended to say something about those in the past but never got around to it so I guess you won the lottery hahahaahaha. I'll see if I can dig up the old books and put a more complete advice together and post in the forums under tips & tuts or something since you guys seem to like that.
