The film is called The Aviator. DiCaprio said that he doesn't mind admitting that he would welcome and be very pleased with an Oscar nod for his portrayal of the mentally ill Hughes. DiCaprio said that in preparing for the film he did more research than for any other role. He spent time with a mentally ill man and read dozens of books.
