Contest Directions: Even if some of us work on the upcoming Labor Day, we should still be thankful for our jobs. Unless you are Paris Hilton's gynecologist, of course. Apart from that one, there's always something to be proud of in every single job, even ...septic tank cleaners, which you probably think is the worst job. Well, you think wrong, my friend. You are dead ass wrong. Septic tank cleaners are our heros -- they're #1 in #2 business.
So really, every job has its merits. For instance, I have the best boss in the world (I work for myself).
In this contest you are asked to create a satirical advertisement for any job (good, bad, or absolutely worst). Advertisement can be in any printed format - newspaper, magazine, billboard, or even a printed sheet of paper glued to a street pole. The job advertisement can include what normal job adverts include - job title, description, hours, pay, benefits, requirements, and contact information. Advertised job positions can be real, or made up, but your advert has to include a satire in it, and should be more than just text advert.

Despite the fact that Labor Day is supposed to be a holiday, a day of rest, in many professions Labor Day is just another workday. The United States Department of Labor has reported that the federal holiday -- Labor Day -- was initially celebrated in the U.S.A. on September 5, 1882. The holiday was a creation of the labor movement in the United States. Labor Day was intended to be a national tribute to the contributions that the nation's workers make to the country. In any case, despite the initial intent behind Labor Day well over a century ago, for many jobs, Labor Day still means work. Many people are reporting that they will be working on Labor Day. This includes people like fire fighters and police officers. For example, police officer Patrick McGuire and police officer Tim Magner both stated that they will be working on Labor Day. They remarked that it was like any other safety job. They need extra people working on holidays to ensure public safety. While ten years ago, nearly everything business-wise was closed down on Labor Day, in today's world, a majority of businesses are now open. People who have to work on Labor Day have remarked that it can be hard on their families. But, it is their jobs.
