You have bought a kitten or mature animal. In any case, initially it is desirable to restrict the space for residing the new animal in an apartment. It is necessary to provide the places: without droughts, holes, in which it may go in, where you might not get it back. The best place is the kitchen. Kitchens should be equipped with a bed, a pan with water, toilet (tray) with filler, or without. High trays with mesh are used under the filler. If the kitten doesn't "go" the first time in the tray, then wet a piece of paper (tissues) in the urine and put it in the tray. Initially you can put pieces of papers in the tray. If the kitten does not go to the toilet for one or two days, then do not worry – this happens at the stage of introduction with conditions. Do not take and do not allow the kitten to go around the rooms till you teach if fully to go in the tray!!!
You allow the kitten to smell and look into everything. Take caution during its introduction with other animals. As the situation is new for the kitten and it is very difficult to acquaint the kitten to new animals. If it plays, then play with it using a thread with paper at the end. If it is not coming to you for contact, then do not touch it. Allow it to notice and get accustomed, be patient. At any time, it will come to you compulsory, it will be hungry and want to communicate. Generally the first stage of addiction continues for 2-3 days, and after one weak it will get acquainted.
FOOD
For the growth of a kitten without any complications, it is necessary to remember proper feeding. Kittens up to the age of 3 months should eat 6 times per day, consume 120-150 grams of food, and from 3 to 6 months, at the time of active growth – 180 to 220 grams four time a day. At this time, it is necessary to feed the kitten with a minimum of 30 grams of raw meat everyday. It is suggested to have the following composition of food: low fat beef, rabbit, chicken, turkey or veal. All meat should be chopped finely and scaled with boiling water; boiled meat without bones can be fed. It is necessary to keep the meat preliminarily in the deep freezer for about a 48 hour duration (the microbes will be killed during this period). All food should be at room temperature.
Sub products: liver (not frequently and no more than twice a weak), heart, chicken stomachs, scare. Sub products like meat can be fed along with cereals and vegetables.
Raw eggs can be given to the kitten but not more than twice in a weak. Boiled eggs can be mixed with porridge in the form of a mash with cream.
Fish – only sea fish, boiled without bones and only twice in a month.
Cereals: rice, oats, buckwheat (crushed grains).
Vegetables: carrot, cabbage, bottle guard, pumpkin. Cereals and vegetables can be boiled in the same water where the fish or meat was boiled. Add a small amount of vegetable oil to the side dish.
Cultured milk foods: cottage cheese, cheese, kefir, natural yoghurt, creams; it is necessary to restrict the usage of cow milk and milk porridges from 2 months onwards, and from three months, stop giving milk, as lactose (milk sugar, which is present in whole cow milk) is not digested by the kitten and frequently causes diarrhea.
Dry granulated fodder can be given to the kitten starting from two months by it soaking in water preliminarily. Use the fodder and preserved foods from well known companies: "Hills", "Royal-Canin", "Yams" and those, which are meant for a kitten, as they possess high energy-density. In the case of feeding with high grade balanced fodders, generally there is no requirement of any mineral and vitamin sub fodders. In case of insufficient nutrition, the kitten requires vitamin and mineral additions. It is recommended to use an energy paste from the firm "8 in 1" and vitamins by "Brevers". Your pet should have a pot with green grass or oats.
Water should be sufficient and always fresh.

According to the rules of pet shops, the return or exchange of sold animals (including kittens) is prohibited. Kittens, procured (purchased) in shops were examined by veterinary doctors. In any case, the shop should accept the claims on the health condition of animals within 3 days. This is specified in the birth certificate of the kitten which you bought. In difficult cases, you always can get a consultation from specialists via telephone. In case of force-majeure acts at the buyer’s place, the shop is not responsible, but can come to a compromise and agree to the return of the kitten by retaining some amount of the money paid (from 10% to 50%). This is for a violation of agreement, and also includes the expenditure for the stress condition of the animal, possibility of growth, of illness and the expenses for treatment. The kitten is not a doll which can be returned easily. By buying the kitten, you are taking the responsibility for looking after it. We are acquiring the pet because we need them, but they do not need us. |
