Kerry Stuck in Iraq
Contest Directions:  Two days ago Sen. John Kerry stirred a controversy when he told a group of California students: "study hard, do your homework, or you'll get 'stuck in Iraq.'" The comments were received by many Americans as "US troops in Iraq consist of uneducated people." Troops didn't like it, Republican's didn't like it, and Democrats didn't like it. Kerry, feeling the pressure, issued an apology for his remarks, saying they were just a "botched joke."
Kerry did not mean to insult the troops, he was just referring to the new school grade system where grades (from highest to lowest) will be: "A," "B," "C," "D," "F," and "STUCK IN IRAQ." Thus his statement: If you fail your school and homework you'll get "STUCK IN IRAQ." Another new school grade Kerry suggests (highest grade) is "MARRIED TO A BILLIONAIRE." So, if your kid studies hard and does his homework, he may get "B," "A," or "MARRIED TO A BILLIONAIRE."
As pennance for his statments, Kerry decides to show his flip-flop team spirit. Show Kerry in recruiting posters for the military, activily recruiting 'geeks' for service, or military advertisments aimed at the brilliant. Your entry must include John Kerry (in picture or words).

This contest is fueled by the following news:
Former presidential candidate John Kerry stirred up a great deal of controversy a couple of days ago when he told a gathering of students in California that people who don't study hard, who don't do their home work, end up stuck in Iraq. Believing that he damaged the chances of his own party to claim significant victories in next week's elections, John Kerry did apologize to anyone who may have been offended by his remarks. He indicated that what he had done was botch a joke that we was trying to make about President Bush, his 2004 opponent. Kerry went on to attack Bush for what Kerry describes as a failed policy in Iraq. Prominent Democrats urged Kerry to cancel appearances that he previously had scheduled on behalf of Democratic candidates. These fellow Democrats believed that under the circumstances that an appearance by Kerry would do more harm than good. Democrats believe that they have a chance to gain the 15 seats that the will need to gain control of the House of Representatives. They need to win 6 seats to gain control of the Senate, which is considered a more difficult challenge as of this moment in the campaign.
