| | Jodie Foster (full name: Alicia Christian Foster; born on November 19, 1962) is an American actress, who won two “Oscar” awards for “Best Actress” for her roles in films “The Accused” (1988) and “The Silence of the Lambs” (1991).
Biography:
Foster began her career at the age of three beginning with commercials. In 1970s, she acted in several Walt Disney movies.
In 1974, she acted in Martin Scorsese’s film “Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore”. At the age of 14, Jodie Foster was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role as a pre-teen prostitute in the film “Taxi Driver” in her next film. After this film, according to the plot of film, hero Robert De Niro attempts to assassinate a Presidential candidate, John Hinckley Jr. tried to impress Foster for a long time. In 1981, John Hinckley tried to assassinate President of USA Mr. Ronald Reagan. During the interrogation, he stated that the assassination attempt on Ronald Reagan was to impress Jodie Foster.
In 1985, Jodie Foster graduated from Yale University, where she earned B.A degree in literature.
