Jennifer Aniston took part in Howard Stern's radio-show in the late eighties and in the beginning of the 1990s. She moved to Hollywood and in 1990 she received her first television role in the serial “Molloy” and also a role in the television movie “Camp Cucamonga”. At first, producers of the show wanted to try Aniston in the role of Monica Geller, but the actress convinced them that she is more suited for the role of Rachel Green. She played this character right from the beginning of series in 1994 till 2004. The series was very successful and Aniston along with the other leading actors, received popularity amongst television viewers. Her hair style was copied by women all-over the world. In the last three seasons of “Friends”, Jennifer received remuneration of one million USD per episode. For playing in this show, Jennifer was nominated five times for an “Emmy” (she won once) in the nomination for “Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series”.
In the news: Following weeks during which there was distance in their relationship -- both geographical and emotional, Vince Vaughn and Jennifer Aniston appear to have called it quits. An unnamed source close to Vaughn told a US magazine that the split between the couple happened just a bit before Vaughn left for London to begin work on a holiday comedy entitled Joe Claus. The sources said it is not common knowledge, but stated that Vaughn and Aniston are no longer together. A friend of Aniston's also confirms the break up. Some friends of the couple have said that the relationship began to fall apart following the June 27th proposal of marriage by Vaughn to Aniston. |
