This is a beautiful piece of work. One comment that might improve it: The lighting on the face is coming from the opposite direction from the lighting on the body. If you flopped one or the other, the lighting would match.
Agree about the head vs the body in regards to direction of light. I'd flip the head and put a drop shadow on his face from the hat also. Then shade the hat to match the face using a gradient mask. The DVD box seems to a man-meaty goodness eyed too, as in lower left corner of box dips down too low. Other than that: an extremely nice style and excellent color scheme.
I agree fantastic piece of work & tribute to the man.
Just redid this photo back in the Chop-Shop .... Thank you for the advice with the head flip & shadows. My Shadowing skills are not the best but its getting there slowly . Thx again LunaC , Rainman , Kellie , Macwithfries & the Master of Disasterman ...
I'm trying , still working my way up the totem pole to get as good as you , Mark , paul ,Kerri & a ton of others . Thx again ....
Nice fix... Still should put a drop shadow on the face from the hat and gradient shade the hat like Man Of Rain recommended.
Thx LunaC , it looks better now ... Appreciate the High Marks.
