This Friday was the 55th birthday of Pierce Brosnan, who is most famous for his James Bond roles in Die Another Day, The World Is Not Enough, GoldenEye, and Tomorrow Never Dies. This month (May 28) is also the 100th anniversary of Ian Fleming - the creator of James bond - who portrayed the famous secret agent in twelve novels and nine short stories.
In honor of Ian Fleming's upcoming 100th birthday and Pierce Brosnan's 55th birthday, photoshop anything related to James Bond. Some examples are: photoshop any James Bond movies with new cast (e.g. South Park characters in the leading roles), turn any products into James Bond gadgets, show what life would be like if James Bond characters ruled the world, give Bond theme to famous paintings, etc.

| | James Bond, also known as “Agent 007”, is the fictional English spy who for the first time appeared in the books of Ian Fleming and has received wide popularity owing to both the on-screen version of these books, and appearances of this character in the films which have been shot on the plots of other authors also.
Fleming after writing the first book about James Bond in 1952, wrote a number of productions with his role.

If you come across a person who did not hear a word about James Bond, and the number 007 does not raise any associations in him, what would you do? It is clear, that you can not explain much to such a person. About this character, there is no common opinion – some consider him as a hero, others - a relict of cold war, and the rest relate to agent 007 with sarcasm – as “a sexual maniac leaving behind him numerous bodies of women”, “a violent alcoholic’, “a villain-tadpole”, “wetted stupid” – these are the opinions of opponents of Spying about James Bond. Let us try to understand, what exactly is this “the most popular spy in the world”.
NAME: “Bond. James Bond”. Practically speaking, these days you will not find a single person who never heard this name in his life. And after all, somewhere in the fifties, if you were called by this name in London, nobody would pay any attention on you- in the same way as if you were presented in Russia as “Ivanov Peter Sidorovich”. Still in the beginning, this unnoticeable name was adopted by the creator of agent 007 from the name of an English scientist-ornithologist. Remember, in the film “Die Another Day” Bond holds a book called “Birds of West Indies” in his hands? And so, the author of this book is no one else but James Bond himself, truly speaking, not fictional, but the real one.
NUMBER: Number 007 may be discussed separately. It is remembered, in one of the versions it was claimed that the agent of British secret service is some lord with broken heart who had lived in the eighteenth (!) century and he signed his reports to the queen by this name. But it seems improbable and, you may agree, it is more like a fiction.
The double zero in number means he was working in the department “00” whose agents have the right to murder while on duty. The number after zero is the personal number of employee of the department. As you understand, personal number of Bond is seven. This number is considered by the majority of people either magical, or the number that brings good luck.
Incidentally, in the book of Ian Fleming “You Only Live Twice” James Bond is allocated one more number - number of the employee of diplomatic service in Japan – “7777” - four sevens. As the chief of Bond, M said about this, “you are simply hooked to this digit”. |
