I am still trying to understand how the latest supercool James Bond
was beaten by penguins in the US? Could this be because the new James
Bond is actually hmm... blond? That's right, the new James Bond,
British actor Daniel Craig, is naturally blond. Craig had a whole set
of troubles while filming this 007 flick: Charlize Theron turned down
the role when she found Craig will be the new Bond; Craig could not
drive Bond's Aston Martin and had to learn how to drive a stick shift; and
finally he had his front teeth knocked out in a fight scene. The movie is
definitely worth seeing, especially the scenes where Daniel Craig
tries to seduce cheap chicks by introducing himself as "Blond. James
Blond" and ordering diet coke "shaken, not stirred." That and placing
his license to kill upside-down in his wallet, then identifying
himself as Agent LOO.

| | After more than four decades, Hollywood is still relying on the James Bond franchise to be strong force in theaters and on DVD shelves during the upcoming holiday season. The most recent bond flick, now in theaters -- Casino Royale -- arrives on the scene 44 years after Sean Connery brought the Bond character to audiences for the first time in 1962's Dr No. There is a great dealing riding on Casino Royale being a hit. The Bond franchise has been a mix of success and failure. Royale represents the biggest release of any of the 20 Bond flicks. The other Bond movies have not been packaged in four separate DVD sets. Each set sells for about $90. Most retailers have discounted the sets to about $60. The sets have been put together randomly ... there is not specific order to what has been included in each of the four different DVD sets. There are other Bond products going onto the market at the present time, including such things as a wall calendar and posters. It has been four years since the last Bond movie hit theaters ... which some industry experts believe is the biggest hurdle to overcome. People associated with this Bond movie believe that it will be successful -- and will reignite an interest in the Bond franchise generally.

AGE: In this respect, we all may not agree about his age. Bond was born in 1924 - this information can be obtained from the book of Ian Fleming “You Only Live Twice”, in the chapter “Obituary in Times”. Hence, age of Bond in 2003 was 79 years. Superannuation age of the agent of class “00” is 45 years, therefore, he must have retired in 1969. Bond joined the secret service, according to Fleming, when he was a just a green young man i.e. at the age of fourteen (!) years, that is in the year 1938 (poor boy - this information can be obtained in the book of Fleming “From Russia with Love”. It is just worthless to talk about films – in movies the age of Bond changes constantly – sometimes he grows older, and the other times gets younger.
APPEARANCE: Height - one meter eighty three centimeters, weight – seventy six kg, eyes - blue, hair - black, on the left cheek he has a vertical three inch scar, on the back side of his right palm – he has the traces of plastic surgery.
In the first novel about the agent 007, Ian Fleming compares his appearance with the actor Hoagi Carmichael, whose photo can be seen HERE.
Again it is not worth to compare the appearance of this “reel” Bond with the Bond from novels- this would be meaningless, and in this stiff controversy about this question, simply a can of whoop-ass can be opened on you. But personally in my opinion, Timothy Dalton suits the most of all the actors playing agent 007, as per the description given by Fleming. |
