| Jaguar, the English automobile company specializing on the manufacturing of automobiles of a "Deluxe" class is an independent branch of Ford Motors.
The existence of the company began in the 20s of the 20th century. At that time its name was Swallow Sidecar and made carriages for motorcycles. It did not bring great income, and then the firm changed its specialization by manufacturing the component parts for the Austin 7.
After an execution of a big order in 1927 the income allowed the company to expand the manufacturing of the component parts for the models Fiat 509A, Morris Cowley, Wolseley Hornet, and then began the project to design and develop new models of automobiles themselves.
Huge popularity was received for the models Jaguar SS90 and Jaguar SS100, which were named by the founder of the firm, William Lajonsom.

In 1988 the new model which has again received huge popularity, the Jaguar XJ220 was produced, however later it was changed, and shown in modernization in Tokyo at an automobile exhibition.
At the end of 1980, the branch of the company Jaguar Sport for making the sports models of automobiles was opened. Then Jaguar became a branch of the firm Ford.
At the end of 1990, the sports model automobile a compartment variant and also a cabriolet were shown in Switzerland in an exhibition.
In 2000-2004 the automobiles of mark Jaguar again took part in races in Formula - 1 as team "Jaguar" using the engines "Cosvort". Especially for this purpose, automobiles of the model F-type Concept and Silver stone were produced.

The company was founded in 1948. English bicycle firm Rover in Coventry had produced the first automobile (in the beginning - electric) in 1888. And since 1904, the firm began to produce petrol based automobiles - basically light automobiles of the middle class.
For the first time, the firm produced cross-country vehicles in 1948 under the mark Land Rover. The model was repeatedly modernized, had various bodies, a wheel base of 88 or 109 , and also four, six and eight-cylinder petrol or diesel engines.
