Ford Motor Company sold Jaguar and Land Rover car businesses to India's Tata Motors Ltd. for $2.3 billion. The decision to sell these two car brands comes at a difficult financial time for Ford which wants to concentrate on its major brand and increase Ford's auto market share. The sale price of Jaguar and Land Rover is only half of what Ford paid for these brands - it bought Jaguar for $2.5 billion in 1989 and Land Rover for $2.7 billion in 2000.
India's Tata Motors company was in the news just recently with its $2.500 car model that is made from cheap materials and "should be affordable for everyone".
Photoshop anything related to Jaguar and Land Rover becoming Indian auto brands. Some examples are: create new advertisement posters for Jaguar or Land Rover, re-design these cars with cheap materials (or maybe even from the old car parts), create employment hire posters, re-design logos, etc. Your entry has to be related to either Jaguar or Land Rover - it does not need to have two brands in one entry.

| | Jaguar, the English automobile company specializing on manufacturing of automobiles of a class "Deluxe" is an independent branch of concern Ford Motors.
Existence of the company began in 20s of XX century. At that time its name was Swallow Sidecar and made carriages for motorcycles. It did not bring the special income, then the firm has changed its specialization by manufacturing the component parts for Austin 7.
After execution of big order in 1927 the income has allowed the company to expand the manufacturing of component parts for models Fiat 509A, Morris Cowley, Wolseley Hornet, and then began the project to design and develop new models of automobiles itself.
The huge popularity was received for models Jaguar SS90 and Jaguar SS100, which were named by the founder of firm, William Lajonsom.
In middle of XX century the company has replaced the name on Jaguar as the initials of company SS associated after II world war with fascist modes.
At the same time Jaguar Mk VII was released, for which capacity of the engine was increased up to 190 hp.
In 1950 Jaguar began cooperation with firm Dejmler, which produced automobiles closer to the class Jaguar. Since 1960 Deimler became a part of company Jaguar. The company, which was faced difficulties with sales, have begun in 1966 cooperation and became the part of British Motors. Since that time, Jaguar models have become very popular.
By 1960s, Concern Jaguar wins the American market with their models Jaguar XK150 and XK150 Roadster with engine capacity up to 3.4 liters.
From 1960 to 1980, series of sports models and also sedans with increased quality were produced and offered for high price.
At the end of 1960, model Jaguar with the modernized engine having 6 cylinders was produced. A bit later, in the beginning of 1970s, production of Jaguar XJ12 having the engine with 12 cylinders with capacity of 311 hp was started. From 1968 to 1983, the following models were produced: Jaguar XJ8 - a sedan, XJR 4.0 Super Charged, Jaguar XJ - the compartment closed model, Jaguar XJ-S first time AJ6 engine was fitted in it. In 1988 the new model which has again received huge popularity - Jaguar XJ220 was produced, however later it was changed, and shown in modernization in Tokyo at an automobile exhibition.
At the end of 1980, the branch of company Jaguar Sport for making sports models of automobiles was opened. Then Jaguar becomes branch of firm Ford.
At the end of 1990, the sports model automobile in compartment variant and also a cabriolet were shown in Switzerland in exhibition.
In 2000-2004 automobiles of mark Jaguar again took part in races of Formula - 1 as a team "Jaguar" using engines "Cosvort". Especially for this purpose, automobiles of model F-type Concept and Silver stone were produced.
Land Rover - the automobile company, which is producing exclusively automobiles with a full drive.
History
The company was founded in 1948. English bicycle firm Rover in Coventry has produced the first automobile (for the beginning - electric) in 1888. And since 1904, the firm began to produce petrol based automobiles - basically light automobiles of middle class.
For the first time, the firm has produced cross-country vehicles in 1948 under the mark Land Rover. The model was repeatedly modernized, had various bodies, wheel base 88 or 109 , and also four, six and eight-cylinder petrol or diesel engines.
