36 layers before I put the car back and its bleeding all over. Any thoughts as to why, for next time. Thanks...
AzureSky
join layers one at a time and check each time, this might work. Flattening all at once can produce unexpected results.

maybe how you add layer. . at what point.

why put the layers together. I make sure any masking is done and apply all my masks. Then I create a folder and put all layers in the folder. All layers are still separate, but you can move and transform all layers as one when the folder is selected. Is that along the lines of what you are talking about.

I don't flatten them eather and it looked great on my Puter. But the fade from darker yellow to the lighter yellow is gone. it just looks like one ends and the other begins. The doors and hood gaps were all tight, now it looks like you could throw a Cat through them. Oh well, I had fun doing it. Thanks for the comments I do appreciate it.

When you save for web the layers flatten automatically. If you do it yourself you get better results. You could do them in groups. darker yellow, then the lighter yellows, but faded a but. The top layer has to be the details/dark edges. the highlightscan go on top or under the layer of dark details.

I went and looked at my file and all the darks were on top. Something must have happened on my end. It still looks fine, I am just too picky. Thanks for all the help.

Nothing wrong with being picky. did you try a gradient on the yellow layer. best to experiment on a separate page though.

I first evened out the rust on the front door by cloning. I then removed each piece and cloned the finish from that door. I rebuilt the window channels, A pillars, Rockers, where ever rust had eaten the body with the finish off the same door. I copied all the trim that was still there and set it a side. I drew the trim that was not there and chromed it. I bebuilt the front grill and put it off to the side. I then altered the body color to the yellow I wanted. I then did the lighter yellow with a brush. I had to rebuild the rim, add a tire and then copied and paisted for the front and passenger front side. I drew the interior in a mohair from the time period, and then added glass. You know the rest. Thanks.

I'd tone the yellow color saturation down a bit, and make the tires bigger. Otherwise pretty cool
