This contest is fueled by the following news: A 23 storey hotel, with a five star rating and an exitimate $50m to construct and create is rising in the city center at the present time. The hotel actually was an opulent palace complex that is now being turned into the magnificent hotel as well as a theme park. Cheaps flights will be available to what is being billed as the "Venice of the East." The interesting sidebar regarding this development, however, is the fact that it is located in the countryof Iraq. Officials insist that with new elections in the offing, Irag is on the road to new beginnings. At present, the country's tourist board has a staff of 2,400 in 14 offices throughout the nation. There has been an increase in the number of travelers coming to Iraq in recent months. There are also many people heading into the country for business purposes. The planned hotel is still in what has been described as an embryonic stage. The land is located within the heavily guarded Green Zone and has been donated by the Iraqi government for the development of this project. In fact, Thair Feeley, a member of the Iraqi Commission for Investment, recently remarked that it is not factual that the hotel will be five star. Rather, he said, it will be seven and a half stars.
