| Interest rates were raised for the fifth time since June on Tuesday by the Federal Reserve. The increases have been designed to try and back of slowly from the very low interest rates that the central bank in the U.S. had in place for the past few years. The central bank has been trying to battle the bursting stock market bubble, a recession and the September 11th attacks on the U.S. with lower interest rates. |
