| The Governor of New York State Eliot Spitzer, convicted in connection with a prostitute, was noticed by the Internal Revenue Services during an investigation on corruption in authorities, reports AP.
The transfer of huge amounts from several bank accounts to other accounts belonging to an escort service attracted the attention of tax specialists. The tax specialists could successfully ascertain that the bank accounts, from which money transfers were made, were indirectly connected to Spitzer. After this, the Governor was under constant supervision and during which it was established that he used the services of prostitutes and was a regular client of the “Emperors Club VIP".

Eliot Spitzer had to resign as a governor of New York after the news broke down that he is linked to a prostitution ring coupled with money laundering - one of the largest scandals in NY political history. Spitzer was currently discussing legal options with his lawyers, but the Republican party already warned him of initiating an impeachment process if he did not resign voluntarily.
