The NHL, facing a do or die deadline that has come and gone, has no deal with players in sight. What is left of the season is considered lost forever. The remaining games are now slated to be cancelled. The sides to the labor dispute did meet late into the night on Monday to no avail. A news conference by the League Commissioner is scheduled for Wednesday in New York, although no details about the press meeting have been made available at this time.
