| Clear Channel Communications, the largest radio operator in the United States will over 1,200 stations, has announced that it was dumping Howard Stern from its lineup. Stern is the highest profile performer to be dumped in the aftermath of and backlash from the Janet Jackson incident at the Super Bowl. Stern remarked that the FCC had heen after him for years and now they are having their way with him. Prior to the decision to dump Stern all together, some Clear Channel stations has already removed Stern from the air -- expressing a so-called zero tolerance against offensive material on the air. |
