He does indicate that he plans to launch a new effort to keep those issues that have been important to him alive. Dean is scheduled to announce his plans at a news conference to be held on Wednesday afternoon, according to unnamed Democratic Party officials. They noted that they are certain that Dean will fully support the eventual Democratic nominee. One official also noted that Dean will assist in Congressional campaigns in the fall as well.
