Contest Directions: A survey made just in time for Halloween revealed that The Exorcist is considered the scariest horror movie of all times. The survey was conducted by the internet giant MSN. Every fifth respondent answered that he / she was most frightened by The Exorcist flick. The titles of the second and third scariest movies are the Saw (series) and The Shining. Hannibal Lector was chosen the top horror villain. If you are like us, you will grab some popcorn and watch horror movies this Halloween night. Have a happy and safe Halloween!

This contest is fueled by the following news: Horror film (in popular language: Horror movie) - genre of feature film. Films, which are designed to elicit fright from audience, instill anxiety & fear, create intense atmosphere of horror or excruciating expectation for something awful (i.e. "Suspense"), belong to horror genre. Tendency in development of genre Marketing studies revealed that large number of horror film audience consist of teenagers and young people. Hence, starting approximately from the end of 1980's, in USA, many horror films were released, especially to cater to younger audience.
