A survey made just in time for Halloween revealed that The Exorcist is considered the scariest horror movie of all times. The survey was conducted by the internet giant MSN. Every fifth respondent answered that he / she was most frightened by The Exorcist flick. The titles of the second and third scariest movies are the Saw (series) and The Shining. Hannibal Lector was chosen the top horror villain. If you are like us, you will grab some popcorn and watch horror movies this Halloween night.

This was inspired in part by this week's happy news that a court has awarded $11 million in damages after the detestable Phelps and his "church" (consisting entirely of his descendants) picketed the funeral of a marine killed in Iraq. Phelps is, I think, a very sick and evil man who is probably driven by the conflict between his own deeply suppressed homosexuality and his sulfur and brimstone fundamentalism.
