Biography:
Helen Hunt was born on June 15, 1963 in small town Culver City (California, USA).
Helen Hunt started working in films when she was still a child; however, leading role in "long-play" serial “Mad About You”, for which she received “Golden Globe” and four “Emmy” awards, was the real break she got. For each new series in this telefilm, her fee was million dollars —highest salary ever paid for a television actor in the history.
Such improbable success of Hunt forced the Hollywood bosses to invite Helen Hunt for acting in film projects. Her role in a romantic comedy “As Good as it Gets” (1997) was noted by "Oscar". Critics predicted grandiose future for Helen Hunt, however, her subsequent works were received coldly.
In 1999, Helen Hunt married television actor Hank Azaria, but divorced him next year.
Helen Elizabeth Hunt was born in Los Angeles, California, USA. In 1966, her parents - Jane (photographer) and Gordon (director and acting coach) moved to New York for six years.
After returning back to Los Angeles, Helen got her first role in a television film "Pioneer Woman". This role was followed by others - in "Bill: On His Own," "Choices of the Heart," "Land of Little Rain" for television network PBS and in "The Miracle of Kathy Miller", where she played sportswoman, who should copeup with serious trauma - her favourite role.

She snatched a role in "Kiss of Death” with David Caruso and the same Nicholas Cage. But this time, the role was not a pass-through, and soon, Helen received the share of fame and even "Oscar" - for film “As Good as it Gets”, in which she costarred with Jack Nicholson.
Away from work, Helen Hunt prefers to divide time between dancing classes, painting and yoga. From time to time, she invites actor friends to her home to honor one or the other plays - simply, for herself. |
