This contest is fueled by the following news: Helen Hunt is an American actress, script writer, director and producer.
Helen Hunt was born on June 15, 1963 in the small town of Culver City (California, USA).
Helen Hunt started working in films when she was still a child; however, the leading role in the series "Mad About You", for which she received a "Golden Globe" and four "Emmy" awards was the real break she got. For each new series in this show her fee was a million dollars, the highest salary ever paid for a television actor in history.
Such was the improbable success of Hunt that the Hollywood bosses invited Helen Hunt to act in film projects. Her role in the romantic comedy "As Good as it Gets" (1997) was noted by an "Oscar". Critics predicted a grandiose future for Helen Hunt, however, her subsequent works were received coldly.
In 1999, Helen Hunt married television actor Hank Azaria, but divorced him the next year.
Helen Elizabeth Hunt was born in Los Angeles, California, USA. In 1966, her parents - Jane (photographer) and Gordon (director and acting coach) moved to New York for six years.
After returning back to Los Angeles, Helen got her first role in a television film "Pioneer Woman". This role was followed by others - in "Bill: On His Own," "Choices of the Heart," "Land of Little Rain" for television network PBS and in "The Miracle of Kathy Miller", where she played a sportswoman, who had to cope with a serious trauma - her favorite role.
In 1989, one of her dreams came true - she received a role in a Broadway show. Nevertheless, the actress was not going to give up work on TV and was least interested to surrender before a huge crowd, avid for fame in the cinema. Helen played a small role in "Peggy Sue Got Married", but she was simply not noticed since her costars were Nicholas Cage and Kathleen Turner.
The same thing happened with the film ""Miles from Home" with Richard Gere. Then Helen, according to her own words, began to track down roles like a hunting dog. She snatched a role in "Kiss of Death" with David Caruso and the Nicholas Cage. But this time, the role was not a pass-through, and soon, Helen received the share of fame and even an "Oscar" - for the film "As Good as it Gets", in which she costarred with Jack Nicholson.
Away from work, Helen Hunt prefers to divide her time between dancing classes, painting and yoga. From time to time, she invites actor friends to her home to honor one or the other simply for herself.
